Savage tried to strip the ball and it cost them a stop.

Yeah, I thought he was just trying to pull him back, but going back and watching it, there was NO reason for that.

Difference between him and Amos. He's trying to...what? Get a strip and score? Amos(and it looks like Ford) is prioritizing just being reliable and smart and Savage is I guess pressing? I know he hasn't made the big plays expected of him, but you can't force that.

And Rudy Ford AGAIN...man. They look like they've found a STEAL there. I'm a little bit behind, but he's been a BEAST.

Safety is a must upgrade next year.

Is it though?

If you bring back Amos, maybe Ford turns out to be a find and now you can use Savage like you'd originally planned?

I'm not completely giving up on Savage either. We've seen how good he can be. But stupid plays like that have killed them.

BTW, anyone see what the issue was with Wyatt? Looked like a knee, but they didn't really show it. We REALLY can't afford to lose another young player to an ACL.

Aaron Jones with the R2/triangle spin move combo into the end zone there.  Nice.

Man, he is special. I know you don't spend money on RBs his age and it'd take a restructured extension to keep him around...but he's still SO good!

Also, didn't notice that Enagbare tipped that ball that Ford picked off.  Not sure that's a pick without the tipped ball. Huge play and nice to see some of these young players showing some life.

If they're going to try and compete again next year, they're going to need to have confidence in some of these guys. So far, Ford, Enagbare, Slaton and FINALLY Watson are showing something at least.

What a crap kick off

This kid just have a weak leg or is this the Packers trying to pin them in the corner?

That's been a constant theme the last few years. Just put the ball in the Endzone if you can. And the soft zone defense doing what it's done all year...

There’s that defense I know and love.  Extinguish my hope. Please.

Here's the thing...if you're going to play Cover 3/4 the whole drive...why go into man when they're down inside the 10? That's where you drop back and make them find a whole in the zone...

Amos nearly made the play, but it's just the OPPOSITE of what seems logical(at least to me).

Good 1st half, but same Rudy Ford may just be prolonging the inevitable firing of Joe Barry.
