Game 6: NY Jets @ Green Bay - Sunday October 16th 12:00 PM CT

I’ve just had to sit here and laugh about half a dozen times today.  For two months, I’ve expected the team to show growth, even if it is slow.  Instead, they get worse.  This year, they’re healthier and more talented in every sense except WR.  But the results are abysmal.  I keep assuming the people in charge have to be smarter than this, but they seem hell-bent on demonstrating their manifest unfitness for their roles, week after week after week.  I think I need to disengage from sports.  Nothing is worth this.

I skipped watching the Packers today as I have too many ongoing farm things to do as winter approaches my mountain valley.

One of the glorious things I was afforded the opportunity to do today, was a full clean and initial winterizing of my chicken coop. This included bountiful stable rake loads full of straw and chicken ****.

It would appear I was performing the metaphorical version flip side for those of you who experienced the same grueling disgusting work while watching this current 1980’s Packers team.

i salute each and every one of you brave souls.

I think we can simply be sure we will be going into Buffalo and leave it at that. :(

What in blazes happend to the OL? Is Newman infectious because no one could pickup a stunt today.  Every single one of them played horribly.

Silver linings: (Squint hard):

  • Looks like Big Bob is getting in shape
  • Alexander was playing man-to-man on their best WR...quite often!
  • The D looked good...initially. Overall they weren't bad, but they keepd giving up big runs.
  • Gary looked good - even set an edge in the run game.

That.. is about it.  Offense is really hard to watch.  Really curious why Jones was barely part of the game today - even passing or screens.

Really curious why Jones was barely part of the game today - even passing or screens.

Couple times Jones looked a bit shook up on the sidelines, and he did get popped a few times early on in the game....but then there were also a few series where the offense ran onto the field with Jones, only to have Dillon run on and sub him out before a play even got ran - it was pretty weird, especially when it was obvious the line couldn't pass protect to save their life.

Just finished watching the game and this is like a bad joke. Whatever downfield accuracy Rodgers used to have is totally gone. And not just being injured this week, because it's been every week this season. I've heard a lot of commentary about how defenses are playing GB short and daring them to throw deep and you can really see why this game. If it's not throwing into safety coverage it's just missing the throw.

So if you're not a good passing team you need to be a good running team, right? So exactly where is even the smallest effort to become a good running team? Plus the Packers are running on early downs too often which is the opposite of what you want to do to develop a running game. Throw for five yards on 1st down and then run run run. Instead Jones is being treated like he's just some ordinary back and Dillon like a scrub off the practice squad.

I'd love to hear even one thing the HC, OC, DC and O-Line coach have done to deserve the paycheck they're getting.
