The whole delay of game explanation is so comically stupid. He has to look at the clock and then look towards the ball? Come on. That is like saying a 1st base ump needs to watch the ball hit the glove and then look down to see if the foot hit.

Rodgers snaps the ball at or after 0 at least a few times a game.

I never thought winning in Tampa would feel this unsatisfying. Pretty gross performance. Defense played fine other than the last drive I guess.

Doesn't feel like this result holds if Evans and Godwin are available on the other side.

We'll never know...and that's just fine.

W is a W - based on GB's history playing in Tampa, very happy they won

That's fair.  I agree it's a dumb explanation. 0 should be 0, and that's when the penalty should occur.

Unless the refs are looking through a straw they should have enough peripheral vision to look at a clock and see a ball snapped or not. It’s just silly because they know they explanation is garbage. They are just giving leeway to be nice and not have so many delay of game penalties every game. That is why the amount of time given is less now, they just clamped down a bit on it.

Are we forgetting our team needs to recover the kick…hardly a sure thing with this organization.

Yeah, I did, you forget it was a conversion and we don't just get the ball. But it wasn't over.

Ugly, ugly win but I will take it. Probably about what was expected today with all the WR's out.

Maybe if there was a sound like the nba shot clock that would be a good analogy, but it kinda does make sense that you have to verify the clock at 0 and then verify the ball hasn't been snapped.

If there isn't going to be an alert, then maybe whoever is responsible for watching for delay of game would watch as it ticks to 1 and then start looking for the snap and if it isn't call the penalty.  I'm not sure who's responsibility it is or how phesible that would be with whatever pre/post snap responsibilities they may have.

Remember what Yoda said:

I think Zach Tom should be starting.

Good win even though the offense went to bed for over half the game. maybe the heat was a factor? anyway, I think they'll get better as the season goes along on that side of the ball.

There is no complaining from me. The state of Florida has been a house of horrors lately for the Pack. Getting out of there with a win is huge. Hopefully the D can stay healthy and play like this all year.  The offense will come around as the year goes on.

I am fine with how they handle the play clock expiring, it's always been that way, We have enough play stoppage as it is, then you add reviews to that? No thanks.

I mean I don't care, because it is consistent...I just think the entire explanation is really stretching the reality.
