Defensive line looking horrible again.  I really shouldn’t be surprised by this by now.  This is 3 years now where the defensive line look like children playing against adults.

Defense and offense look completely unprepared for this game.  This is not the first time this season that this has happened either.

Even from aware I have been able to see that Jim L has done a good job year over year.

 

For the sake of debate, lets say Wisconsin goes outside the program for a new HC.  Who might that be & why would that person pick Wisconsin over another school (like Nebraska) or choose to be a HC in the Western conference of the Big Ten???

They wouldn’t fire PC over losing to OSU. They just don’t care enough to beat elite Big Ten teams. All Wisconsin wants is consistency and bowl appearances. They like PC because he is loyal and won’t leave.

It would be too risky to find a better coach, have riskier game plans, or recruit different. They just want to play good defense and run. Win 7-9 games and call it a season after a bowl season. I mean, I don’t blame them, but that’s the reality.

It honestly looks like the Badgers coaches and players didn’t even come to try and win the game. Looks like they were practicing for a more winnable game after this week. Talent gap or not, they are getting embarrassed. Plenty of teams take these elite schools to the wire and don’t get clowned 5 minutes into the game.

I was definitely not expecting to be down 28  - 0 minutes into the 2nd quarter. 

Heck, Kent St. gave a ghost of a battle against Georgia today., and lost by less than 20.

I wasn't expecting to win.  I wasn't expecting them to even be within striking distance in the end.... but I expected them to show up, lol.  This is sad and embarrassing.

I'm not a Badgers fan really so I tend to see them unemotionally. I figured this game would be another 56-0 affair. 

They got caught with their pants down on Mertz. He's not good at all and they didn't have a contingency plan. 

Solid line play, which has also been their stalwart, appears lacking as well.

TBH I don't even know why I bother watching college football. We all know how this year is going to end. It's the most predictable of all sports. Alabama and Georgia playing in the National Championship game after crushing Ohio State and whatever poor fourth team squeezes in the playoff. And they think playoff expansion is going to make this game better LMAO.

So Leonhard would get a mulligan because of the talent gap but Chryst would be on the hot seat despite it? Doubt it very much. Either it’s a pass for everybody or everyone takes the blame.

Mertz has all the talent to be good.  He is very similar to Cutler he has all the talent and the arm strength but no accuracy and makes dumb throws a lot.

Not a Badgers fan either…but they should be able to put up a way better effort than this. They have done it against OSU before. Were they destined to lose by three TDs? Yah…but they were down 28-0 barely over a quarter into the game.

I suspect it's going to take most of this year for Bostad to straighten out the oline mess that Rudolph left him.

Rudolph was a decent recruiter but he couldn't coach squat

Sure, I wasn’t just referring to just today. All last year it seemed to be a point of note how the O-Line just wasn’t what they usually are.

If you are a D1 QB on a schollie you have talent. But he is not a good QB at this level. He's bad. Time to cut their losses.

Accuracy can be fixed with proper coaching.  The poor and dumb throws is something that can be coached also.  It is just never going to happen at Wisconsin.

It is kind of funny that for all the fan base’s complaining about mediocre QBs like Stave and Hornibrook, the supposed savior in Mertz has resulted with a QB who is literally horrible.
