The Milwaukee Brewers got some reinforcements over the past two days in the form of returning pitchers. Aaron Ashby was activated off the injured list on Tuesday with Trevor Gott being activated prior to Wednesday’s game.

Making room for Aaron Ashby and Trevor Gott, Milwaukee sent both Jason Alexander and Justin Topa to Triple-A Nashville.

Ashby spent exactly one month on the injured list after experiencing inflammation in his shoulder. He returned Tuesday and made the start, going two innings. Ashby allowed just one hit while walking and striking out two apiece.

The Brewers have been without Gott since August 10. His forearm was the reason he landed on the injured list, and the hope would be that the injury is behind him. Gott returns to a 4.03 ERA across 38 innings this season for Milwaukee.
