The Missing Draft Pick (Brewers History)

This is one that has me completely stumped, and maybe someone out there knows something.

Way back in 1968, when the Seattle Pilots participated in their first-ever MLB Amateur Draft, they made a rather odd pick with their pick in the 20th round (464th overall) - a kid by the name of Henry Talbot out of Boise, Idaho.

There is literally no other information available, and it looks all the world like the Pilots took a flyer on someone who was a friend of a friend of a scout.

What I'm looking for is, well, what happened? Did he never get the call from the Pilots? Did he decide not to sign, and instead went off to Woodstock or something? Is he alive, and well, and living in Boise?

My Google-fu has been very bad in this instance. Anyone with any leads would be appreciated.

It did, it just wasn’t Boise State like you think of today. I believe that was right around when it was transitioning from a 2-year to a 4-year school.

Okay, that would make sense. I admit to not knowing much about Boise State, being a misplaced Cheesehead here in the Valley of the Sun.
