Visiting Fenway

We will be on Boston on a weekend when the Yankees are visiting, so I'm very much inclined to go.  Tickets are obviously insanely expensive, but bleacher seats are available for under $100/ticket.  Anything in the boxes or grandstands are going for well over $100, and I'm not exactly sure I want to pay that much.  Does anyone have any experience in the bleachers at Fenway?  Or is this something that I should just splurge on and get into the grandstands/box seats?  They do have SRO tickets for $50, but my wife doesn't really like that idea.

Is there anything else I should know about going to a game at Fenway?  We're saying in Quincy and our hotel is right on the T, so we are going to ride that to and from the game.  We're probably going to the Sunday night game (an ESPN game, so it will last extra long).

Taking the T into Fenway

Welcome to my state! (I grew up and still live 50-60 miles to the south of Boston.)

You should be fine with the "T", just keep an eye if it's an insanely late Sunday nighter - it helps immensely that ESPN starts their games an hour earlier than a few years ago.

I'm not going to tell you not to go the bleacher route -- but especially if the Sox continue to stumble, wait out the StubHub route and just be diligent about updating your StubHub page and clicking on sections of interest.

I'm going to see the Brewers Friday night and on Tuesday scored two $190 face value (each) field box seats between the Crew's 3rd base dugout and home plate for $55 apiece. That's not the available norm as I type, but those types of deals will come up occasionally, and I got lucky. Now, Yankees - Brewers is a different animal altogether, good luck regardless.
