DSL Brewers 1 throw up the coveted six-spot in the first inning...trail 11-6 in the bottom of the third, Tigers have a man on third base, only one out, and a suspended contest? Wooooof. DSL Brewers 2 lose to the DSL 'Classies' in a five-inning contest, 4-2? God bless the nuance of the Dominican League.

On a more positive and uplifting note, the Batman to Tristan Peter's Robin in the realm of 'Most Improved Players', a Cam Devanney hype post. All about Cam. From his first game filling in for the injured (and then struggling) Ashton McGee in that inaugural Pensacola road series, Cam flashed massive leather. His offensive surge has been quite literally awesome to witness on the regular:

It was 6pm Arizona time and the Brewers ACL teams threw first pitches with 109 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit on the thermometer. Ummmm, yeah.

Oh, and OF Jace Avina Blasted his sixth dinger of the season.

Seeing Briceno's big night, there is a ton of competition for the A-ball infield spots next season. Between the guys already there, the four draft picks and the guys having good seasons in the ACL ...

Areinamo, Guilarte and Perez look like shoo-ins, and Caballero and Briceno are at least singling up a storm, Guzman is performing well considering he skipped the DSL and there is so little available playing time that Zalm and Nicasia, who have both been decent, have been moved almost exclusively to the outfield.

Not sure the ultimate upside as prospects of some of them, but there aren't going to be any unearned promotions heading into next year from this group.
