Yelli's broken kneecap has put a hitch in his swing -- will he ever be as good as he was on the Marlins, I wonder?

My fear with Yelich is such, he’s only going to get slower and weaker with age. He’s already a non productive member in the lineup. What’s he gonna look like in 3 years? It would solve so many of the teams problems if he could figure it out. I really hope he does.

Lauer again doesn’t have the put away pitch. Looking like another short outing if he can’t find it.

20 pitches already and 3 rockets. Lucky to have one out.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

The Cubs are averaging 0.82 runs per 1st inning this year and just shy of a full run per 1st inning at home. They’re just behind the Nationals who lead MLB in 1st inning runs. Sort of weird it’s those two teams at the top of the leaderboard.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

This argument doesn't really work today, considering Wong is unavailable after being HBP in last night's game.

Guess I missed the HBP. Where? But, we have NO ONE else that can play 2B? If so, that's extremely pitiful.

We have Jace Peterson. But he's not really any better than Hiura against LHP. If Adames were healthy, you'd probably see Urias there and Brosseau at 3rd.

Looked slow as hell right there

I keep shifting between keeping him on the roster for his defense and DFA. Probably back on the DFA train after watching that pathetic attempt.

If McCutchen doesn't hit into a DP here, I will consider the at-bat a resounding success.

Yelich will take care of that. Bet.

Whoa, happy to be wrong.
