No doubt there’s room for improvement on offense, but we did score 8 runs yesterday with Mikolas starting and 7 this afternoon. Also, this has been with arguably our two best hitters on the IL for the past week. 

I’m only asking because I was told that the Brewers were not nearly as good as their record indicated due to the fact that they've only played "bad teams" and that they’d be lucky to survive this grueling 11 game 10 day road trip against mostly "good" teams in first place. All they’ve done with two games to go is increase their lead in the division and set a new season high in games over 500….

Who told you that? And exactly what did he or she say? 
 

Sounds like some significant exaggeration. I definitely don’t remember hearing anyone say that wins against bad teams don’t count.
