Know that wasn't a strike  , but the ump has been calling that a strike almost all day !

That’s my biggest argument in favor of robo umps. As long as they are no less accurate than the current umps, you won’t have to worry about certain hitters or pitchers getting the benefit of calls, or the umps playing Frank Drebbin and catering to the home crowd.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Don't care about the human element , let's get it right ! No more influence or favorites and the inconsistency . amazing how a couple of bad calls can influence a whole game  , it can change the batters approach all game.

Tell me why Josh Hader shouldn't get Cy Young or MVP consideration.

Leading all pitchers in Win Probability Added (again).

Only pitchers with a higher WPA since 2017 (Scherzer & deGrom) currently hurt.

He’d probably need to put up a season like whatever year Gagne went nuts to get serious consideration.

Gagne 2003 | 82 IP | 262 K%+ | 74 BB%+ | 30 ERA- | 19 FIP- | 4.4 rWAR | 4.7 fWAR | +6.32 WPA.

He is a relief pitcher and I don't see many voters voting for him because of that.  The last relief pitcher to win the Cy Young was Eric Gagne back in 2003.  I am not against Hader being in the running for Cy Young but I just don't see it happening as he would have to have a near perfect season and a bunch of starting pitchers having a down year.

I was away from my iPad during the entire game today, but followed along as I could

Small has to improve his control to stay on the big league roster long-term … but I like his moxie

I love Tyrone Taylor - check my posts from Spring Training & even last year

Peterson has been hot this week

Urius is having a solid year - bright future too

Hader is amazing - so glad he stayed perfect for the year

Here’s hoping we sweep the Cubbies at their place

I’m not a fan of the split twin bills … I prefer the back-to-back, stay all day at the park double-headers

Agreed. I think, despite it being incredibly unlikely, if Josh went the entire season without allowing a run or set the major league record for most consecutive scoreless innings, he would get serious consideration. Josh's main "problem" right now is his teammate and good friend, Corbin Burnes.

When can we start talking about Hader's HOF case? He's a one-man revolution.

I feel compelled to point out that as far back as May 28th Yelich had a higher OPS on the season compared to Taylor. Taylor has been on top of it for the last couple of weeks and has a pretty solid track record of contributing, but even this year Yelich has had stints with an OPS over .800 something Taylor has only done in 'season' way back in 2019 over a grand total of 10 ABs.
