I’m glad to see Suter get some much needed work - perfect game to help him “get right”

That said - I hope he is able to get three outs without surrendering a run

I’d love to see Milwaukee shoutout St. Louis on the raod

I’m not hopeful after the first batter he faced

Glad to be wrong

Well done, Suter

I do hate that he allowed Goldy’s hitting streak to reach 20 games

As long as we have more than a few games cushion on the Cardinals, I'm more than happy to just leave st. louis with a split. It maintains the status quo.  Obviously I'd love to sweep or take 3-1, but if they're not gaining ground on us, I'm happy as a clam.

Once Renfroe is back, Cutch should not see right handers again.  It’s ugly at this stage of his career.  Meanwhile, Hiura should get regular AB’s against RHP.

Love Counsell but, man, he can be some combination of eccentric and stubborn.  If he goes against the grain and it doesn’t work, he will double down to try to prove his odd decision was right all along but it inevitably just gets worse.  Like quick-sand.

Wily Adames with the successful Low-A start today in Zebulon - including a 2-run jack early to change the tone of the game. He speaks to getting comfortable and what I see very time I watch these young Mudcats: lotta talent.

Stay tuned as Wily will head straight to Nashville's team hotel as they are the sole Affiliate with a Monday game tomorrow. Give it a watch if you are able!

Yeah.... I'm a super strong backer of the decisions Counsell makes most of the time.  But this odd insistence of playing Cutch *every single day* almost against right handers is hard to defend.  It's not like there's a small sample of data to suggest that he shouldn't be playing vs righties.... it's a solid couple of years now.

Same with Hiura, for whatever reason he has reverse splits and while it's still a relatively small sample, there's a large enough sample to start drawing information from, and using that data to make decisions.

Stearns and co. have always struck me as a very analytical and data-driven group, so this insistence on ignoring data is puzzling, to say the least.

It's absolutely incredible to me that the Brewers have remained as good as they are with how much Yelich had regressed.  It seemed like their future success was tied to the success of Yelich, yet here they still are.
