Chat Room Question

I've made a couple appearances in the chat room as of late, and have found the experience to be a positive one for the most part. I have also found though, that there are some contributors that I'd rather not hear from at times.

So my question is with regards to the 'Ignore' button. Does it completely wipe out what the marked ones say, or does it acknowledge that the individual has made a comment but simply leaves it blank?

Reason I ask is that in the case that the 'ignored' makes a comment that others make a response to, I would want to know (or at least find out retroactively) what was said.

I'm pretty sure that it blocks your view of what the ignored person is saying. However- I'd suggest you maybe PM Hawing for verification. Laura is pretty up to date on the chat room topics and she will provide you with the correct information. She's one cool cat.
-I used to have a neat-o signature, but it got erased.

Umm, yeah - thanks, Jamie. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I haven't used the 'ignore' feature lately (figured I'd better watch all of you nowadays), but my recollection is that while it's engaged, you don't see the ignored chatter's posts at all. There is no placeholder type entry in the chat to show when the ignored person has posted.

You can tell whom you have set to 'ignore' because the screen name appears in parentheses in the list of active chatters.

If there is a way to recover and later review the ignored chatter's posts, I have not found it.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
