Padres have been playing so well this year and the Brewers playing down multiple regulars… feels like a huge series win!

Very nice.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

A series that easily could have been a sweep , ends in a series win. This team is special. Ashby looked good today , and bounced back from an error and a couple bad calls to finish strong.

Yeah. He looks like he should have no problem filling Peralta's shoes.

With the expanded playoffs and no more game 163’s taking place winning season series against fellow contenders becomes extra important. Hopefully the Brewers can take at least a pair from the Padres again next week.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

What a terrific job by the pitching staff all week. Ashby, my goodness, I have no idea what his ceiling is. And the moment wasn't too big for Perdomo, which is a huge sign.

After we took the lead, I briefly had MLB Network on, and Amsinger said that the problem for San Diego right now is that it's almost Hader time. If Hader was a Yankee or Met, Amsinger would know that Hader was not present, the reason, what hospital room his wife was in, and what Josh had ordered up from the cafeteria.

Perdomo must be happy to get a win against his former team.

For all the flack Perdomo takes, (and let's be honest, he's "just a guy"), he did a nice job today in a high leverage situation against a good team.
