Anyone with IE 6: I could use a hand

In standards-compliant web browsers, all four of these code examples render identically (as they should):

Sample

One

Two

Three

Not surprisingly, IE breaks item One. Do either item Two or item Three match the sample?

Thanks in advance.

I have to use IE 6 at work. They do not grant me the power to download things (like Firefox) since it would be a "security risk". I wonder why that's a security risk but using IE 6 on Windows 98 isn't...

"Sample" seems to be in a normal font.

"One

Two

Three" is in a large font, like a headline tag was used on them.

All are in bold black letters.

Thanks for the quick input.

That's what I was afraid of. I was just stabbing in the dark.

I want to use an h2 tag because it's semantically perfect. I've run into several issues with IE's ability to style header tags; this is the only one I haven't 'overcome'.

I think I'll have to accept big text in IE and call it 'acceptable degradation'.

Man, IE's standards compliance sucks.

I don't miss the browser-compatibility part of web development. It's gotten a lot better, though -- if you were around for the IE vs Netscape 6 vs Netscape 4.x days you know that pain http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
