Same old Hiura: Strike 1, Strike 2, Strike 3

I'm not real sure how much more needs to be said. He's the ultimate AAAA player. Goes down and rakes, comes up and simply turns into a K machine. I had so much hope for him, but I've seen enough. It's time to move on.

Like it or not some organizations consistently win and they are one of them and yes I think they are better than Philadelphia regardless.

Bring me some evidence to show that the 2022 Cardinals are superior to the 2022 Phillies, other than your subjective opinions about things such as "voodo", and I will accept it wholeheartedly.

One team is arguably the best defensive team in baseball and the other is probably the worst. I would be happy to bet you on which team finishes with the better record but thats not necessary.

It’s past time

Hiura needs to be included in whatever trade we make … hopefully sooner than later

Maybe a change of scenery trade will help both parties

Hiura is a strikeout waiting to happen

2019 was a fluke - please move on

He will make for a good reclamation project for a rebuilding team.

It's not even a quality of pitching argument at this point. Case in point, he blasted two home runs against one of the top pitching prospects in all of baseball the other night, Just so vexing and frustrating. I'm done trying to figure it out, though.

Yep, and I'd be more than happy to see him put it together and become the hitter that we all thought he'd be a few years ago. It just isn't going to happen as a Brewer.

If we get something useful back sure but I wouldn't give him away just in case it clicks.

Two on & down two runs was an ideal opportunity for Hiura to produce & prove he belongs in the bigs - instead,  he struck out - as has been his norm for over two years

We need a few bats that can hit lefty starters

You literally said it was time to move on 10 minutes ago.

No one is going to give the Brewers anything useful for Hiura. Best you can hope for is someone else's failed prospect or an overpaid vet who is just about done.

Canceled out by superior offense and pitching by the Phillies. So, if you consider the Cardinals to be good, then you cannot go ahead and say the Phillies are not good. Maybe, the fact that we actually won the series against them has something to do with your classification.

I'd rather keep him in AAA than dump him for a Daniel Norris type.

The Phillies defense is so bad that it doesn't matter how much they hit.

No. The stats do not bear this out. In fact, the Phillies aren't even currently in the top 8 of the worst defenses in baseball. So, quit repeating it.

Ok the Phillies are great defensively. Besides Realmuto they are a team of DHs but I am done discussing this with you.

Never did I say they were great. I was just refuting your claim that they are so bad on that end that it negates their great offense and starting pitching. I am still waiting for you to provide one piece of evidence other than "voodoo" that the Cardinals are good and the Phillies are bad. But whatever you say, I guess.

Based on noisy defensive metrics that are barely accurate on 1+ years of data?

I want him gone so we don’t keep yo-yoing him between Nashville & Milwaukee this season

I’d much rather see Turang, Mathias, Dahl - even Johnny Davis

I’m over Hiura - have been since early last year

I was aggravated when I saw he was being promoted to take Adames’ place on the roster

Even so, they're the best tools we have to evaluate defense at this point. The Phillies are not good on defense by any stretch, but it's not bad enough to completely negate their good offense and starting pitching. But the evidence didn't quite fit with his narrative, so he had to resort to things such as "voodoo" to make his case.
