I'm not really concerned about Burnes at all. The worry for me is this team doesn't hit lefties and hasn't shown an ability to beat good teams.

They did take 2/3 from the Phillies, who have Castellanos...

The Phillies are not a good team.

They've been significantly better than the Braves. +15 run differential, one of the best lineups in baseball. Wheeler and Nola atop the rotation. They're a good team.

Must be hard as a Brewers pitcher knowing you can't make a single mistake or your team loses the game.

And as a reminder, the Braves gave up 37 runs the 5 games between playing the Brewers and are on pace to give up 1 in 3 games against the Brewers with that 1 run coming on a WP.

Atlanta is a far better team than Philadelphia regardless of the first month and a half of this season. The teams I would consider as good in the NL are the Mets and Braves from the East, Brewers and St Louis from the central, and the Dodgers, Giants, and Padres in the west. How we do against these teams is a good measure for how we are likely to fair in the playoffs

A T-ball coach could determine that the best approach to beating the Brewers is to start lefties in every game

Any MLB manager worthy of his position would scramble his roster to make sure a lefty is on the mound for six innings against the Brewers each game - call up minor leaguers, throw bullpen arms - just make sure he fires from the left side

I’m not sure this team would win another 20 games this season if they faced a left-handed starter each night

And that's a major weakness that can be exploited in any postseason series if the Brewers are lucky enough to qualify.

Exactly why we should trade for pending free agent JD Martinez.

Okay. Based on what? Last season? Your own opinion? Well, this is a new season, and the Phillies as constructed and as currently producing certainly meet the criteria for a "good team". Also, you can't say the Cardinals are a good team, and not the Phillies. Most projection sites, such as 538, have them winning virtually an identical number of games. Even on paper, the Phillies have the Cards beat on offense and in the rotation.

I will take the Phillies seriously when they stop playing 3 or more DHs in the field everyday.

And yet you can take the Cardinals seriously when their rotation is comprised of 40 year olds and soft-tossers galore? Not to mention starting two 40 year olds in their regular lineup?

As long as they've got that voodoo going for them I take them seriously.

Okay so you're admitting that your argument is entirely subjective, in which case we should accord very little regard to it.

Like it or not some organizations consistently win and they are one of them and yes I think they are better than Philadelphia regardless.
