Today’s game is on MLB Network (for those outside of the regional blackout zone) in addition to being on Bally Sports Wisconsin.

Brewers struggled with a seemingly mediocre southpaw starter yesterday, but today they’ll get a chance to see what they can do against one of the best left handed starting pitchers in the league.

The Brewers offense has scored just six total runs in Corbin Burnes last four starts. Today would be a good day to give him some run support.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Is Adames going to play?  I have a bad feeling we are going to struggle to score runs against Fried.   ?

Adames is going on the IL.

Obviously their right handed options are limited when Cain is batting in a key situation like yesterday but they continue to put Hiura in position to fail. He hasn't shown he can hit lefties so putting him in there against Fried is tough.

Our only bench bats today against an All-Star lefty - Cain, Narvaez, Petersen - one righty who is hitting under .200 & two lefties

The law of averages suggests that we are due to score several runs against a left-handed starter

Hopefully, today is the day we “break out” & pound a top notch left-handed pitcher

I was a tad disappointed that Turang wasn’t added to the 40-man roster & promoted

We need a “new bat” … something or someone to get excited about

I like Hunter Renfroe more so than Avail Garcia & certainly more so than Jackie Bradley Jr

Her just redeemed himself after a terrible base running blunder … Taylor has more speed than Renfroe so his blunder put Milwaukee in a better position to score

Today I’m leaving Hawaii where the game started at 7:10 AM.

I don’t think I’ll be spending much more time this morning checking scores. If the unexpected happens, great.

Burnes has been hurt by solo HRs all season, and a 3 run HR figures to be too much to overcome.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Burnes getting killed this year by the home run ball.  Lots of time left to score a run or two…..

My preference would be at least 5 runs at this point.....

Anyone else concerned by the HRs Burnes has been giving up this season? Sure, for the most part he’s been able to limit the damage, but I reckon it’s gonna bite him in the ass eventually- like it has against Riley earlier.

Not particularly. Especially when you consider his minuscule home run rates the last two seasons.

I'm not really concerned about Burnes at all. The worry for me is this team doesn't hit lefties and hasn't shown an ability to beat good teams.
