The indication was that Acuna would be ready to go for the start of this series. He is not in tonight's lineup, however, so you wonder if he will not only be unavailable for the remainder of the series, but if he will have to go on the IL. Regardless, any day we don't have to face that guy is a win, particularly with how he seemed to be returning to form in our series last week.

Fun fact, at DH tonight for the Braves is none other than.........Orlando Arcia. Never thought I'd see Arcia and DH in the same sentence.

Meanwhile, Adames is out with the ankle injury sustained in yesterday's game. No indication that an IL stint is forthcoming, though.

Overall, with Peralta and Burnes both pitching in this series and given the Braves' recent struggles/Acuna's continued absence, I'm really hoping for 2/3 to kick off the homestand.

Did Chuck Carr change his name to Ozzie Timmons?  Chuckie Hacks is a perfect description for the Brewers hitting approach.

Well, the Brewers are 6th in the NL in walks, and first in the league in pitches per plate appearance, so probably not.

I see Arcia finally got rid of that big leg kick. Was so obvious that it was hampering his swing when he was with the Brewers, yet, strangely, nothing was ever done about it.

Arcia did try toning down the leg kick at one point with the Brewers…

In 5 games since the Brewers visited Atlanta, the Braves have given up 37 runs or 7.4 runs a game.  Back to facing the Brewers and that stellar pitching staff is throwing goose eggs.

Did you really expect something different?
