Game Thread (5/13/2022): Brewers (Burnes) at Marlins (Lopez) - 5:40 PM CDT

Lopez has pitched like the best pitcher in baseball thus far, leading the majors in ERA. However, his past history and underlying stats indicate that he's not quite at that level. Probably more of a top 20/30 guy as opposed to a top 10 or top 5 pitcher. So, while runs look like they could be at a premium tonight (which would unfortunately be par for the course for Corbin), Lopez is due for some regression. Hopefully, that comes tonight, with Corbin (whose stats largely establish him as the best pitcher in baseball) spinning yet another gem as we begin to salvage what has otherwise been a disappointing road trip.

I'll be watching the Miami feed down here so it will be interesting to listen to their perspective and how they feel about the Crew.

Burnes is better and the Brewers are better. So, hopefully the other way around despite recent trends...
