Thurs. 5/5: A Strong "Logo" Scoreboard Page

Brewer Fanatic Staff

Can we talk a moment about some incredibly strong logos on the scoreboard page linked below? The opposing GreenJackets, Tides, Biscuits and TinCaps - and of course, the Mudcats, Shuckers and Timber Rattlers all super-solid. Nashville, at least it's a classic if not a lot of whimsy, and you've got the guitar ballpark scoreboard!

Low-A Carolina has won 3 in a row and leads Augusta 2-0 in this week's series. RHP Edwin Jimenez (4.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 9.5 K/9 in 18 innings) is looking for his first win. Yesterday's walk-off hero 2B Zack Raabe, son of former major leaguer Brian Raabe, is hitting 8th today, while RF Hendry Mendez returns to the lineup after leaving Tuesday's game early:

The Shuckers need to end their 3-game losing streak (down 0-2 to Montgomery in this series), with LHP Nick Bennett (4.50 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 4.5 K/9) on the hill to make his 5th start for Biloxi this year. Yes we can. I absolutely love the Biscuits logo. It’s fantastic.

Some bullpen letdowns in Carolina and Wisco. More of the same for Biloxi - 4 game losing streak doesn’t feel so great.

Nashhville…just doing Nashville things.

My Box Score gleanings:

(1) Cam Devanney continuing to surprise.

(2) Jon Singleton PH 2 BB and one run performance?

(3) Joe Gray Jr. faring much better at the plate this past week. Slowly climbing out of his slump. Stay thirsty Joe!

(4) Best start of the year for Antoine Kelly. Dazzling 10 k’s.

Good to see with Devanney. He kind of got hung out to dry last year, skipping two levels because of the roster situation (and a bit his age). If Kelly can build off this, it would be huge. This is the kind of outing I was expecting pre-injury when he was getting all the alternative site hype.
