Funny that Smart was crying about a no call at the end there after the refs basically let the Celtics hack the Bucks for the last 5-min of the game.

I don't like him at all.  Him and Brown are up with Lebron for floppiest floppers of the year.

They played poorly in the 2nd quarter, and then played bucket for bucket until about the last 4 minutes of the game.   Boston's not clearly superior.  It would help if the Bucks could get a consistent third scorer with Midds out.  FOr some reason I keep thinking Lopez will step up and be that guy but he's not doing it.

It doesn't help that he's 34.

Smart pinwheeling for 7 steps after Holiday stole the ball (with NO contact) at the very end of the game is just hilarious.  Dude, he didn't even touch you.  There's no contact.  Watching elite athletes do stuff like that is just straight cringe.

Sounds like there's a good chance Middleton plays in Game 6, which would be huge for helping take the scoring load off of Giannis and Jrue. Can't believe they pulled this one out. I must've told my buddy "they're done" about 10 times throughout the course of this game. Now, time for a good old BUCKSIN6 closeout on Friday!

Man, Marcus Smart tipped the rebound to Bobby Portis for the game winning bucket, gets blocked, and then gets stripped when he (potentially) had Tatum streaking on the right wing for an open-ish look at a tying 3.

All within 11 seconds.

You just love to see it.

That was the highlight of the night for me. I’m glad I decided to watch the last two minutes when I saw it had gotten closer.

Otherwise I can’t stand the hacking, flopping, and whining.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

How did the Bucks win that game? I am still stunned. Giannis hits two 3s. Portis clutch. Jrue with incredible defense.

Celtics must be wondering what hit them.

Whoever said Portis needed more 4th quarter minutes was right on. Good adjustment from Bud going Pat C for Allen and Portis for Lopez.

I had alot of doubt :)

I have to admit I did too.... I doubted when Halliday was playing hero-ball offense at the end of the 3rd.  I doubted when GIannis was playing stupid and fouling Smart on that over-aggressive pick... They were clearly outplaying them in the 4th, but kept doing stupid things thwarting the comeback.  Then they finally started playing smart (pun intended) defense and offense to finish it out. Wow what a game.

Giannis has to get a bit smarter with his play and not get frustrated. I see why Allen wasn't out there last game with his defense.  But the team needs to keep shooting 3s (except Giannis) and moving the ball on offense.

Rotation is finally almost set.  Only change left is to never let George Hill see the court, Carter should get those minutes.  He's literally better at everything than Hill.

Bud made a great adjustment late in the game, switched on everything and Boston wasn't able to adjust.

Agreed on Carter over Hill.  George Hill is providing absolutely nothing offensively and is not a superior defender to Carter.

I'm not sure what Hill has left in the tank, but the Hill of a couple years ago certainly would be a benefit... however, I don't know that now is the point to get him back in the swing to see if he can bring that 3 point shooting.  And Carter's D certainly has been distruptive for Boston.  And hasn't been bad at the 3-ball himself.

I know academically the answer is "no", but I wonder if pro athletes ever watch themselves do stuff like this and like..... get embarrassed by it?

rhetorical question, I know, but Smart had to know he's getting roasted for it today.

I forgot there was a game last night, so I watched the 10-minute replay and almost turned it off 3/4 through figuring we were about to get beat by 25.

I'm also a good bit surprised Lopez hasn't been involved on offense much. It's not like Boston has the big men to stop anything inside. And Allen's playoff disappearance is concerning.

It's eight hours later and I still have no idea how we pulled that out.

I didn't get a chance to watch the entire game, but it seemed like, for the first time in three games, the Bucks weren't as tired in the fourth quarter.

Shout out to @rickh150 for pointing out that Bobby P should be in for the fourth quarter.  ?  His hustle and effort helped will the Bucks to a victory.  Of course, his inadvertent pick of Wesley Matthews on the last play of the game really didn't matter.

In the small amount I saw, it seemed like they had focused on not allowing Al Horford to be wide open.  It seems like they were switching differently... I'm not sure.

Horford's FG stats for the last couple of games:

Game 5 -- Wednesday:  4/7 FG, 0/2 3PT
Game 4 -- Monday:  11/14 FG, 5/7 3PT
Game 3 -- Saturday:  9/17 FG, 4/7 3PT

It also seemed like they weren't chasing quite as much on defense.  That might be why they were a little fresher in the 4th.

Lopez also gives up a lot of 3s, he just has a hard time defending on the perimeter.  So I get why he doesn't get more minutes, it's a close call but hard to argue.  Also, last rime they tried that, game 3 I think, he missed a lot of shots in the paint.

Lopez is still a great defender down in the paint. he defends drives and the rim really well. that being said, as pointed out, he can't defend on the perimeter at all. hes slow when he has to rotate or switch, and chasing guys out to the 3 pt line makes him a liability and opens lanes.
