Bucks vs Celtics series thread

Any idea why the schedule effectively switched(1-4 match-up now being played before the 2-3) for game 3s?

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

This is the kind of game where I was afraid Middleton’s absence would kill the Bucks. In close games down the stretch he could be a go to option to make the big shot and clutch free throws.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Oh my goodness what a game. We absolutely had to have this game and we got it.

I would feel so much better if we can go back to Boston up 3-1 and not tied, but this series feels destined to go to 7 games one way or another.

I didn’t get to watch much of the game since I’m in the Dells this weekend and the bit I did get to see was on my phone.  Of what I saw, the officiating looked atrocious and I guess that backs it up.  Would others agree or did I just happen to see the crappy calls?

That could easily have been called a 3 shot foul.

Per the new rules, I like that it wasn't called a shooting foul.  He didn't have his body oriented at all toward the basket, in any kind of way that he was starting a shooting motion.

Similar to last year I think whoever wins this series wins the East.  Nothing against Miami but I don't think they are as good as their record says they are.

Yes, this feels like the battle for the East just like the Nets was and also seems destined to go 7, if I was a gambler I would put big money on Celtics to win outright Monday. Golden opportunity for the Bucks though.

Holy cow that last 4 seconds seemed like an eternity, can't believe they didn't score with 3 chances. It took me an hour to wind down. The refs got the call right on that last foul, Jrue was hacking him before his feet even hit the floor.

I hate the early Saturday games.  I keep coming to watch the game and see it is done. Saw that highlights and... ooof... that would've been a good one to watch, but a very frustrating 4th Q after building a good lead.

The Bucks were slow getting back on defense in the fourth quarter.  Also, Brook Lopez was in foul trouble basically from the opening tipoff.  He is a big defensive presence and his absence allowed the Celtics to drive and either get easy layups or fouls.

Every time Tatum has the ball, he pushes off with his off hand almost every time.  That was clearly evident when he pushed over Matthews at the end of the first half and Allen in game 2.

Giannis willed this team to a win.  I think he played 39 or 40 minutes.  He looked completely gassed at the end.  It will be interesting to see how the game is called tonight.

The Bucks need to have Lopez off of Horford.  Defensively the Bucks have to rotate way too much when Lopez is guarding Horford because Lopez can't get back to Horford fast enough when he is sitting on the 3-pt line.

The Bucks also need to pick Horford more so he is not switching and defending Giannis.  Whenever Horford is on Giannis, Giannis is having a hard time scoring as Horford can match him inside the paint when Giannis goes for the power moves.  Whenever Giannis is scoring in the paint it is when Horford is not near or around Giannis.  Williams is not strong enough to guard Giannis but can make an occasional stop or two against Giannis but Giannis is winning that matchup the majority of the time.  I think the Bucks need to go back to screening for Giannis with Lopez when Horford is guarding Giannis.

Yeah, pretty hilarious reading Celts fans thinking they got jobbed by the refs when they were actually massaging them back in the game with a 17-0 free throw disparity over the last 16 minutes.

Also cracks me up how proud they were that they bullied KD in round one, but now that Giannis is stealing their lunch money they cry because he plays too rough.
