What about getting Hosmer and Myers from the Padres for say Tellez Cain and Huira or Peterson … then bring up Turang to back up Shortstop and Center? Thoughts or other pieces?

That’s A LOT of money for the Brewers to take on. Myers contract may be expiring but Hosmer still has several years extending into his mid-30s. That’s a dangerous thing for a team trying to figure out what they are with Christian Yelich on the books for many more years.

I don't understand this one, so I must be missing something.  What do Hosmer and Myers bring?  Cain is off the books at the end of the year.  Tellez is hitting and as far as we know may continue hitting like this all year long.  Hiura is min.wage yet and may figure it out.  Peterson is util.

Not sure why the Brewers would do this so no. Tellez has the most upside, is cheaper and just frankly better. A lot of salary for no gain. If Hosmer was on the last year of his deal and the Padres were not good then he would be a target to compliment McCutchen but no.
