Justin Steele’s performances have gone quickly downhill since his season opening appearance against the Brewers (his game logs are shown below). Hopefully the Crew’s bats fair a little better against him this time around.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Another mercy rule pounding would be acceptable

quick question while we wait until the game later tonight.    Do you think any of our regulars will reach .300 BA at any point in the season from here on out.     And who will it be

There were only 14 qualified hitters over .300 last year and only 32 qualified hitters over that mark so far this year, and the Brewers have none of them. With league average batting lines down to .231 avg against .238 last year, you can expect something like 10-15 hitters to end up above the .300 mark again.

Unless Wong gets on a serious tear I don’t think we have anyone contact-oriented enough to get there. Urias could make a run at it but he will need to play almost every day on return to qualify and I don’t see CC pushing him like that.

I’m just talking at any point in the season.    Not even finishing at .300

maybe someone will get hot

This smells like a thinly veiled question from a probability course ?

If I get you a result by next week do I get an A?

Cardinals down 2-0 against the D'Backs. Should that hold up, we have a chance to move at least three games clear of everyone else in the division. While that doesn't matter much at this very early stage (we didn't leap into first place for good last year until late June), it is nevertheless nice to know we have that extra breathing space whenever we experience the inevitable slumps and losing streaks that are part and parcel of a 162 game season.

Cardinal loss would drop the magic number to 139.

Hey everybody, that was a pretty entertaining inning. Anybody else see it?

lol, I've been lurking the Packer Draft thread all day (which btw was super helpful and made the past three days entertaining for someone that knows nothing about the players being drafted!), but I'm definitely in full Brewers mode now. Nice start! Tides are turning a little against these lefty starters recently!
