Potential difference in the game will be the Brewers lineup doing nothing with the bases loaded in Inning 1 with no outs vs. the Phillies doing the opposite

You could probably cut and paste this all year

This team still can't hit. Your bullpen will blow games and Ashby didn't pitch terribly but there were opportunities to blow the game open (first damn inning) and they failed yet again.

I swear, a team could beat this Brewer team by walking the first 3 hitters in the game and let the 4-5-6 hitters fail and the rest of the game the lineup goes into the tank,

This series might get ugly.   It would have been nice to steal a game scoring two runs.     But at some point you need to hit like professional baseball players.

Remember how brutal the trip out to Philly was last year early in the year? Felt like they scored 2 runs in 3 games.

It’s pretty obvious that the brewers formula is to win these late one run games with a dominant bullpen

devyn being terrible is going to hurt this team more than any other teams late inning guys

he needs to pull his head out of his you know what

For a small market you don’t get pitching like this very often and the window is short before they are gone.  Just feel like it will be wasted again unless Stearns can get in a bat or two by the deadline.

Unfortunately I think hitting is the rarer commodity in baseball right now. Pitch labs, velocity, extreme shifting, and the new baseball not carrying at all so far this year.

Not sure there will be an impact bat on the trade market.  Right now the best you could do is Conforto or Gallo.

I don’t see anyone signing Conforto until after the draft.  No one is giving up a draft pick for Conforto especially with the season Conforto had last year.

Yelich and Conforto had similar seasons last year.  Conforto probably projects as .250/.350/.470 type of a player.  Which is basically Renfroe.

This offense definitely needs another bat. It’s especially clear when you watch Philly’s lineup Vs ours. Urias and another good bay would put us over the edge IMO.

Optimistic thinking when >50% of your starting lineup has a BA below the Mendoza line. Like previously stated it is far too late to build your offense on the fly during the season. That needed to be done during the off season. If Mark wants a WS winner in Milwaukee he is going to have to spend a lot more money than he is now. Otherwise he is just spinning his wheels. It’s just a damn shame for Brewer fans to string them along like this. Attanasio has no motivation to spend more money with the profits he is pulling in.
