Quite often the @BrewersPD tweets will be out a bit late for the Link Report from the prior overnight. With no Monday Link Report, will leave this here.

I have to believe every peruser of this Minor League Forum follows that Twitter account regardless, but completely understandable if you don't keep up with your timeline and miss items like this:

Early on it looks like Biloxi is going to be a monster of a team offensively.  Will be interesting to see who gets promoted to AAA by mid season or later.

It's hard to tell, really, as it's early. They are currently decent, for their League, in getting on base and hitting HR's (3rd in each category of 8 teams). But, their overall BA is 6th of 8 teams. What they have experienced is extremely timely hot streaks and big nights from different players - Joey Wiemer, Tristen Lutz, Felix Valerio, Jakson Reetz, and Brent Diaz have all had shining moments. That will play. We'll see how it all shakes out.

Right still early but I expect Mitchell to turn it on at some point also.  That lineup is really good with the only easy out being Devanney.

Frelick at some point will also be in Biloxi maybe they move Mitchell or Wiemer to AAA and then promote Frelick.  It is a very interesting team where the 2nd half could be a completely different team depending on trades or promotions.

Wow. What a sneak peak there from Hayden - an easy young man to root for. It's really important to see what these young men do and experience to live their dreams and it is really nice to see that positive outlook and perseverance from both Korry (albeit, in limited camera time) and Hayden. I wish them all the best in their new situations.

The 2nd place High-A Timber Rattlers (6-3) return home to take on the Quad Cities River Bandits (4-5) this week, seeking to overcome a 2-game losing streak. The team welcomes DH Tyler Black back to the line-up for the first time since April 10. RHP Justin Jarvis (7.56 ERA) makes his 3rd start as he tries to round into form:

The Low-A Carolina Mudcats (5-4) are home for a 6-game set against the Lynchburg Hillcats (3-6) this week. RHP Jefferson Figueroa makes his first start of the season, likely pairing with RHP Miguel Segura again. It's great to see C Jeferson Quero back in the starting line-up after exiting Saturday's game early:

The 8-4 Nashville Sounds are home this week against White Sox affiliate Charlotte Knights (6-6). DH Tyler White has a 3-game hitting streak and leads the team with 3 home runs. RHP Dylan File makes his 3rd start, still looking for his first win:

This will be mentioned in my Minor League report, but it is worth mentioning here in case you don't read my notes:

The Mudcats have scored first in 8 straight games. In total, through tonight they've scored 14 first inning runs scored on the year. Get to their action early if you are looking to get a sneak peak at that young young ballclub.

RHP Jefferson Figueroa dances through a bit of traffic, exiting at 64 pitches (31 strikes) after covering 3 1/3 innings. Mudcats lead 3-0 heading into the bottom of the 4th inning.

Figueroa's issues are command. He has a nice mix of pitches. Nice frame. Decent velocity but he's struggled with his location. On the flip side of this, with similar stuff but a taller stature and higher delivery, Segura was in the zone with more regularity. Segura has a little more of a splitter or two-seamer in his fastball arsenal. Both interesting young pitchers, however, and it will be interesting to see how they develop.

Our first place AA Biloxi Shuckers (8-1) hit the road this week to take on White Sox affiliate Birmingham Barons (2-7). RHP Carlos Luna looks for another solid performance (5 1/3 innings, 1 run last time out), while C Jakson Reetz aims to build on his Sunday barrage (3-3, 2 home runs):

On to the bottom of the fourth inning where the Shuckers lead 1-0 on a gift-wrapped double to Garrett Mitchell scoring Freddy ZamoraCarlos Luna is absolutely pounding the zone and pitching efficiently through 3. Let's hope that continues for the 25 yo Panama native. As the game has progressed he has really mixed in his sinking changeup very very nicely. Lots to like in the young season for Carlos. He looks so poised and in control of his stuff on the mound.

In Nashville, C Alex Jackson his hit first home run of 2022, a 3-run shot to put the Sounds ahead 4-0 in the 3rd inning, after a DH Tyler White double knocked in the first run. White then tripled in a run in the 4th inning, which 1B Jon Singleton followed with a first-pitch 2-run homer. That's Singleton's 3rd home run of year. 7-0 Sounds, now in the 5th inning.

DH Hendry Mendez connected on his first homer in Low-A Carolina, on a 3-0 pitch in the 8th inning to score 2 runs and extend the Mudcats' lead to 10-0. The game ended 10-1 in favor of Carolina.

Crazy looking at the Shuckers lineup with like half the guys below the Uecker line so far, but they just keep winning.

I guess when you got a Joey & Felix one-two punch you don’t need much else.

Opportunistic scoring and pitching. They've had guys hot and they've had key hits. Tonight's run will be scored an rbi double. It was lost in the lights and blooped 8' beyond the LF'er. LOL.

It is not going their way in the bottom of the fourth, however. Luna has given up 2 - BUT on a dropped foul tip followed by an opposite field dinger and then a botched double play ball leads to a grounder up the middle ran out and the runner from third scored. Luna doesn't deserve this score. 2-1 at present Birmingham.

And now, Carlos has walked a batter and the bases are loaded. A call to the bullpen has been sent forth. Man, I feel for the young man. He didn't deserve this fate. He was cruising and, well, it just fell apart all over the diamond. Let's hope they can limit this damage with the bullpen. Robbie Hitt on the mound for his practice pitches.

C Darrien Miller continues to be a big bright spot for Wisconsin: 3-3 so far tonight with 2 doubles. It's 3-1 Rattlers entering the 7th inning, with Quad Cities' run being unearned off of RHP Justin Jarvis (85 pitches, 5 innings, 2 hits).

Happy to see that for Jarvis. He was sharp early. Darrien Miller drove in run number 2 in the first. It's also worth noting: that first run was Sal Frelick off an up the middle line drive single, stolen base, and then a Tyler Black double down the left field line. It's Sal's birthday and it was a heck of a start to the game.
