I 'think' he was referring to the future Bucks v Celtics series.

Apologies if I'm wrong. Little sleep!

No, he was calling Bucks/Bulls a tossup. He said Celtics were a pretty clear favorite in a Bucks/Celtics series. I'm not sure that is necessarily true either.

Ah, yep. No caffeine yet this morning for me and getting two kids ready for day care. ?

The bucks need to come out moving right away. They moved so slow for the majority of the game and you could tell when they put it into high gear. It was wild.

I personally was the one that said Bucks/Cs is probably a toss-up without Khris, to clarify. :)

This sounds optimistic.

The Bulls showed in the first two games that this series was going to be much tougher than everyone expected. Without Middleton this series becomes a tossup at best for the Bucks.

Still thinking this series is a toss-up at best? I thought you were dead wrong before, and somehow you are moreso now.

I didn’t realize the series was over.

The Bucks were only 2 point favorites last night so I wasn’t the only person who expected a close game.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

There's also a reason why most thought the Bucks would have an easy time with the Bulls. The Bulls aren't good. Losing Middleton hurts, but it essentially isn't going to matter against the Bulls.

I guess we'll see if Friday's game was just one of those where the Bulls didn't adjust to the Bucks big lineup and the Bucks got hot early and put the game away. Or maybe the first two games were just flukes and the Bucks really are that much better and just played poorly in both.

My biggest concern about losing Middleton would show up in a close game because of his value as a clutch shooter and free throw shooter.

I hope that you're right and that the oddsmakers who had the Bulls as a 2 point underdog on Friday and a 4 point underdog today are overestimating the Bulls chances.

Yup. The Bulls are not a threat, Middleton or not. The Bucks simply played terrible in games 1 and 2.

I think it is a tossup. If Allen continues to play like has has, he will definitely make-up for the loss of Middleton

I thought the Bulls defense was really being that disruptive the first couple games, but now it looks like the Bucks kicked into the next gear.  I think losing to the Bulls on game 2 was exactly what they needed to get back in playoff mode.  The Bucks adjusted defensively and started taking care of the ball better.  The Bulls just simply don't have the firepower to keep up; especailly from the 3pt line.

Also, I think the refs called that game very well.  There were charges called on Giannis that were completely legit.  Then there were a LOT of flops that the refs just ignored (even if the announcers couldn't).  My goodness Chicago flops a lot.

The Bulls are just not a good team and do not have an answer to the Bucks offense if the Bucks are not playing sloppy.  The Bucks just play average on offense and the Bulls just can't keep  up.  The Bulls don't really have anyone that the Bucks have to be concerned about hitting a 3 consistently and thus can relax off them and play the defense they want which is to limit the drives to the basket.

The Bulls just play into all of the strengths of the Bucks offensively and defensively.  The Bulls barely won game two and were barely in it during game 1 when the Bucks played awful.  Let that sink in when the Bucks played awful the Bulls were keeping up.  If the Bucks play below average to average of what they normally do and the Bulls have no chance at all.  Games 3 and 4 proved the Bulls can't compete if the Bucks play at an average level that they normally play at.  The Bucks have to be playing awful for the Bulls to even have a chance.

The refs did everything in their power to keep the game close but every time the Bulls had even a mild threat in the wings, Giannis/Jrue/Grayson just hit huge shots or made the right plays. When Jrue is on - hitting his step back 3 with ease and hitting crazy fade aways like he did over Vucevic in Q3 - the Bucks are really hard to stop. My goodness, can Grayson keep this shooting up? He is deadly right now.

The Bulls are cooked.  I figured they'd find a way to steal one in this series, and they did.  Good on them.  With 2 straight blowouts, Bud's been given a great opportunity to not have to play his starters 40+ to seal this series away.  Hopefully, even without Midds, we can go into the Celtics series fresh and ready to go.

The Nets just absolutely fell apart.  Talk about a disappointing team.  They should have been able to win at least 2 or 3 against the Celtics but were only really competitive in one of the games and blew a 15 point lead.
