Being a team without a WS title, we have moments like this to hang our collective hats on, and that's ok.  That being said, this is such a great moment in franchise history.

That homerun by Deer, you just knew they weren't going to lose after that.  It didn't matter it was a tie game at that point, it was game.... over.

Absolutely. I was in the Rob Deer fan club and that took my Deer love to another level!

I was at the game. My family is Jewish, so we were naturally doing nothing special that day, so my dad said that morning, "Wanna go to the game?"

I was 13 - in maybe the 8th inning or before the 9th started, I asked if we could go home (which was unlike me - I always wanted to stay until the bitter end). My dad said, "If we go home and the Brewers win, I'm locking you in the bathroom the rest of the day."

Fortunately, we stayed.

I kinda wish you did leave... just to see if he would've followed up on his threat ?

You knew me as Myday2001.

I was 21 years old and a Junior at UWM. I was at the Black Steer restaurant on Hwy 100 and Greenfield with my family for an Easter dinner (or maybe it was called Steakhouse 100 at the time? - either way, it's not there anymore. There is a Walgreens there now.) . The game was on in the bar and I had to keep getting up from the table to go see what was going on. I don't think my Mom was very happy with me constantly leaving the table.

I remember that was not one of my better semesters in college as I was very much distracted by the Brewers in April. That was also the Molitor hit streak season - but that was during the Summer months.

User in-game thread post in 1st inning of 3rd game of the 2022 season: "This team stinks"

That was the day we brought our second daughter home from the hospital. The weather was warm and I was firing up the grill for my first brats of the season.

When she was born two days earlier we arrived at the hospital just as the Brewers were recording the final out in their 10th victory.

Two days before that I had to go on a business trip on a small plane to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. My wife didn’t want me to go because the weather was really foggy and she was afraid something might happen and I wouldn’t be able to get back in time. In those days if had told the company executive I was traveling with that I couldn’t take a trip because we were expecting a baby any day, the response I would have gotten would have been “You’re not having the baby, are you?”.

As it was I made it home that night in time to see the last few innings of Juan Nieves’ no hitter.

A memorable week all around.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I was 21 for this game too.  As it was Easter Sunday, I was at my mom's house in Monroe and of course we had the radio on.  After some jumping around and whooping, I thought to record Pat Hughes' 10th inning show on my brother's Realistic (TM) Radio Shack stereo.  I still have the tape.

One of Adam McCalvy's past interns wrote a longform story about Bob Uecker for Fox Sports in 2012.  He asked on Twitter for fan perspectives and I am guessing I was the only fan to reply, so I'm quoted alongside Pat Hughes, Jim Powell and Cory Provus.  It is no small badge of fan pride for me that you can google Bob Uecker and my name and get a legit result.
