The way the Brewers have looked so far I thought before this series that I would be satisfied if the Brewers could gain a split.

I am satisfied.

That would have been a tough one to cough up.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Whew … 5-5 after 10 games … lucky or good? Either way - we could easily be 3-7 so I’ll take it regardless

Today, Tellez & Taylor had solid, timely hits in key at bats - well done

Is it greedy to expect more? Do other teams have 3 or 4 such hits each game?

It’s been so long since the Brewers hit the ball well - I’m not sure what is to be expected anymore

Split is not a disaster.  But geez this team just seems to be off ever since they clinched last year it’s been relatively ugly baseball carried over to this year

i am worried about peralta and Williams though.   Let’s hope it’s a blip but if they are bad the brewers aren’t doing anything this year

Where can I find this option … I would love to hear Ueck on play by play while watching game

While the game is playing, find "Audio Options" (I press the down arrow on Roku or one of the icons in the upper right on my phone).  You can select both the TV or Radio audio.  And they actually sync the radio audio to the video (no weird delays).  Very nice!

Another day where Yelich doesn’t hit a ball out of the infield. His metrics all say he’s hitting the ball hard and barreling up a ton of pitches but the eye test says his bat speed looks rough and he can’t drive the ball. 1-15 with 2BB’s and 6KK’s in his last four games.

My eyes say Yelich is not anywhere close to being a good hitter in the first 10 games of 2022

He has a few solid knocks, but he seems content to hold the bat & take a walk … he appears timid to me

Nothing about his swing should cause fear for the opposing pitcher

Yelich is still elite on the bases!

I hope he & other Brewers bats wake up soon & pound the ball

Hopefully, we have a 10 game stretch soon where we hit the ball well & score runs to offset this early season team slump

My sentiments exactly

So glad I’m not the only one willing to acknowledge & admit the obvious

I don’t desire to be “Debbie Downer” but I’m a tad irritated by those who continue to spin this mediocre team with extreme positivity

10 games in with only one solid game in all three phases may be more than a “slow start” or “slump”

It might be time to accept that Milwaukee is an average team - great starting pitching (that has yet to get it going) with a poor offense & below average defense

There are a lot of people that are a tad irritated by those wishing to peg this team into this that or the other thing after 10 games. Maybe we can meet in the middle and wait and see how things play out?

I certainly understand your perspective & I’m sure my comments are not pleasant for all to read

I was in college the last time the Brewers went to the World Series … like you, I love the team & want the best results

I find it therapuetic to vent my frustration on this forum rather than on a public site like Twitter

That said … no one wants to see Milwaukee win more than me (I’m sure there is a 100-way tie for most passionate Brewers fan)

I’m happy we won today, but I remain concerned that it was so difficult - again

I’d like to see a few 9-0 or 10-1 wins … since we’ve endured a few losses by those scores in the early going

Thank you ?

I tried on another MLB.com game to find the alternate audio option, but it was not available on my iPad

I will see if such an option is available from my TV next game

Below average defense??? This team had one of the best defenses in the majors last year, and the only real loss on that end was jbj, whose defensive capabilities were matched by Cain and Taylor anyways. They may not be at the cardinals level, but this is a team that is built on pitching and defense, both of which are elite.

The offense, now that’s a different story, and a move or two will probably have to be made.  But I hope for your sake that you step off the ledge and just let the season play out. This is still the same team that handily won the central last year.

They also lost Pina

Early season results have been average at best

Even Wong - a gold glover no doubt - has started slowly

Adames is better defensively than he has played too

Okay, but narvaez, believe it or not, was even better on that end than pina last year. And caratini is certainly no slouch either.

It’s a slower start than we all wanted, no doubt, but it’s ten bleeping games, and we’re 5-5 and only a game out of first. To me, the fact that we were able to split with the cardinals given how poorly we’re playing relative to our proven capabilities is a positive. Let’s just take a deep breath, and let the season develop before we make any grand pronouncements.

Elite in 2021, however TBD in 2022.  One thing that frustrates me with some members on this site, is that many believe it is a given that the level players played last year is what they expect this year. We know this isn’t true when we look at players like Yelich, Cain and Travis Shaw recently. In fact in the cases of the aforementioned players, there can be a great variance from one season to the next. I don’t think it is realistic to expect the same or better seasons from Burnes, Williams, Adames and others. Although being optimistic is great, It isn’t a given that the Brewers will be a 90 win team in 2022.
