The AAA Sounds try to grab a 4-2 series win in Gwinnett, with RHP Caleb Boushley making his 3rd start (and trying to avoid his 3rd loss). Super prospect Brice Turang makes his 2nd start in center field, while LF Weston Wilson and 1B Tyler White aim to continue their damage from yesterday (4-7, 2 HRs, double, 3 walks, 3 RBIs):

After seeing their 7-game win streak end in rain-shortened action yesterday, AA Biloxi tries to start a new winning streak at home in the series finale against Mississippi. 1 - Garrett Mitchell - CF
2 - Felix Valerio - LF
3 - Joey Wiemer - RF
4 - Thomas Dillard - DH
5 - Ashton McGee - 1B
6 - Freddy Zamora - SS
7 - Gabe Holt - 2B
8 - Cam Devanney - 3B
9 - Jakson Reetz - C
X - Nick Bennett - P

C Jakson Reetz hit his first dinger for AA Biloxi, after the team missed some key opportunities. A well-turned double play helped LHP Nick Bennett escape a 3rd inning jam. 1-1 going into the 4th.

RHP Alexander Cornielle strives for his first win in Low-A and the Mudcats need to snap a 3-game skid to salvage a 2-4 series loss to Fredericksburg. 1B Jesus Chirinos looks to build on yesterday's solid game (3-4, double, RBI). Hopefully C Jeferson Quero will return to the lineup on Tuesday, after leaving with 1 out in the 8th inning last night:

You love to see it. CF Hedbert Perez just hit his first home run of the season, on the first pitch he saw in the top of the first inning. He'd sat 2 of the past 3 games after a rough 2-24, 11 K start in 2022.

It’s kind of amazing to see them allow Cornielle to throw 90 pitches (4 2/3 innings). Carolina and Fredericksburg enter the 6th inning now, Mudcats up 2-1.

Nice second outing for the young hurler! You love to see it. He really struggled to find the zone in his first outing. How did he look today? I've had a super busy Easter weekend with the in-laws in town. Excited to read last night's minor league news. Happy Easter to you two!

Peeks at Box: Maybe a little overzealous there Señor Muchacho. Simmer down! A near 2 WHIP seems awfully reminiscent of outing 1. But, more importantly, the Mudcats pull out the victory and Eduardo goes 4 of 5. Love that young man's baseball skill set.

The Catchers in Biloxi are really surprising through nine games. Jakson Reetz with the winner winner chicken dinner tonight at the Plate with 2 long balls, 5 rbi's, and a walk going 3 of 3 officially. You love to see it as he and Diaz have both been very very solid behind the plate as well.

It's early, but I think we might need to send a VooDoo Doctor to the bats in Appleton.

.222 BABIP is last in the Midwest League, so there’s hope for a rebound this week
