Rainouts aren't so bad.  I just hate "cold" baseball in April and October.  Pitchers can't grip the ball, players with "hoodies", hitters don't hit as well... just a bad look for a summer sport, especially in the playoffs.  The BB seasons seem to get longer and later, too. 

I agree the baseball season is too long, which is why I believe it should be reduced back to 154 games, returning Opening Day to where it used to sit around April 15th. As I’m sure you’re well aware, October generally isn’t nearly as bad as early April in the upper Midwest.

True, but seems like the Brewers have tended to get cold playoff games lately (which is good because that means they are playing in Oct and playing late in Oct).  But certainly Oct is normally better than April...but April is normally a bit nicer than it is now too.
