The struggles against LHP are just comical at this point. Bruce Zimmerman isn't a good pitcher.

Castellanos would have been a good answer to this problem but we went the cheap route with McCutchen and Renfroe who still make 17 million or so combined.

Some of the posts in this thread just might drive Lary Sorensen to consider returning to his old ways!

I want to remind you all: This is game 3 of the regular season in a 162 game season. This is a Home opener. The sky is literally not falling. As shown by the comeback yesterday, this team is also capable of pulling it together when you least expect.

I also want to just point out: 4 straight Post-Seasons. 4. Lotta season left.

This is an in game thread where we react to what is going on in this current game.

Except Castellanos so far only has 1 hit on the season so he would be in the DFA category by your standards.

Oh dear, you seem to be suffering from 'Bruised Brewer Syndrome'. I don't know if you would have made it through the 1990's my friend. Stay thirsty. Lotta season left.

The 90s were easy. No expectations whatsoever so it didn’t matter hope the team performed. Now that this team has been good and making the postseason fairly regularly the expectations are a lot higher.

I don't count 2020 as a playoff season ... we were 4 games under .500 that short season (with "postseason" included) ... a very ugly season aesthetically!

Fair enough. I also see a lot of referencing past seasons and past tendencies or past concerns. Have at it. I'll step back. I'm definitely not here to be a proverbial 'beat cop' so to speak.

I didn't mean anything by it. We all have our opinions and should feel ok to share them.

Slow starts aren't fun. Nobody is happy about it. That said, it's only 2-0 in the 4th inning.

As someone who follows the Brewers and the Mariners, the Brewers clearly have the better offense of the two teams. But the Mariners are way more 'clutch' for some unknown reason.

Absolutely. 100%. All good.

I am also stepping back because I have to pick up my 4 yo daughter. ? Hopefully we can tack on some runs and get a comeback going. Good luck the rest of the way! Go Brewers!

I'm not so sure that the Brewers offense is better than Seattle.

In 2021 it wasn't close, statistically. And the eye test would back that up.

The Brewers will probably be better this year as well, unless Kelenic and/or Rodriguez have huge years. But I wouldn't count on that from a 22-year-old and 21-year old who are likely still several years away from being impact bats.
