Gustave certainly is the right guy to put this one out of reach if it isn't already.

Adames isn’t helping. His fielding in these 4 games has been horrible.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

It's going to take a while for the bats to come around.

Fixing bad hitting mechanics is one of the hardest things to correct.

Maybe we just have bad hitters. I wanted Haines out more than anyone but always recognized that our lineup just isn't good.

I don't understand why Counsell went with Cain over Rowdy. Rowdy has proven that he can hit lefties okay, certainly would take him over Cain every time at this point in their careers. If it was McCutchen or Renfroe on the bench against a lefty that is one thing but Cain is last option to pinch hit.

25 for 121 so far this year.  206 batting average as a team .  I would so much rather lose 8-6 then lose 3-1

Agreed. While the team has been successful for a while, the mid-2000s teams were more enjoyable to watch on a per-game basis because there was offense, even if they ended up losing.

Despite being tied for last in the nl in batting average last year,  we did somehow finish in the top half of the league in runs scored.   I do wonder if the team kinda was lucky last year and just scored some large run quantities in certain innings to help elevate that number

Sounds like we didn't even try to sign or trade for a legitimate bat. Wasting 17 million or so on McCutchen and Renfroe was not the answer.

At least they can cut ties with both after this year at no cost.

Yuck. What a boring, lifeless game.

And it only took 3 hours and 25 minutes to stuff in all of that action.

I know it's probably jaded memories only focusing on the bad outcomes....but I've long felt like the Brewers absolutely stink offensively on the road in day games - most of the time those are getaway days on top of it, but based on the results thus far during 4 day games I'm very much looking forward to playing some games under the lights.

Shut out in 50% of our games so far this year. Against two atrocious teams. This bears repeating-- this was an AAA quality pitching staff that shut us out today. Most of these Orioles pitchers have no business on any MLB pitching staff.

The front office, David Stearns and Matt Arnold, bear most of the responsibility for the structure of this putrid lineup.
