Hopefully the season starts soon, because these spring training games vs the cubs are bumming me out.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Possibly deserving of its own post:

"It's Different Here"?  That's only incrementally less bad than #ThatsCub or #CubTogether.  ?

(CubTogether always read to me like someone talking about a Beatles song with a terrible head cold)

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

"Come together" was already in my head before I got to your last line... ?

Bad day. Nowhere near panic time.

This team will be at least 3-3 heading home next week, I feel it.

Even if they're 1-5, whatever. I know "every game counts the same," but, well, you don't have to be great in April and May. You just have to be good enough. This team will be.

Different year, same team. 1 for 14 w/RISP over the two games so far. Runners on 2B&3B and two consecutive whiffs to end the inning. The pitching will improve, but I am very, very concerned about the lack of hitting once again.

I thought firing Haines was the cure-all?

One poster in particular was adamant that he was to blame for last year's struggles.

Maybe just maybe its true that Haines sucks and that this lineup is trash. This offense failed the team down the stretch and in the playoffs yet Stearns did nothing to improve it.

I'm sure the Cubs will retaliate by hitting our best hitter as soon as they figure out who that is.

LOL.  Once it happens then we'll know too. I'm sure they'd just get creative and hit one guy per inning until they've hit all nine.  A single baserunner with this offense isn't a danger to score.
