This feels like a game where we could throw a position player on the mound for an inning. I, for one, want to see what Rowdy can toss across the plate.

Hopefully with a 28-man active roster they don’t have to go that route by game two of the season.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Today’s pitching struggles feel like a blip, but IMO not putting much of anything together offensively against Steele has actually been more frustrating.

Shocking the four man platoon advantage lineup produces absolutely nothing.

Let’s see how our new guy does on his debut. I bet not that great.

When you bargain bin shop, this is what you get 95% of the time. It’s ok tho, he’s not alone in his struggles. Just a very poor performance top to bottom.

Good times for Cubs fans ... I am happy for them ... NOT!

I’m hoping this will encourage one of them to buy the tickets I have listed for one of the games later this month.

My daughters refuse to go to Cubs games because of some unpleasant experiences in the past, and I don’t argue with them.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I can't think of much more embarrassing than letting a position player pitch in game two with a fifteen man pitching staff.

It was originally a joke. The joke fell off the plate like a Ureña wild pitch. I'll go back to the drawing board. I can do better.

What team isn't shopping the bargain bin when it comes to the last arm in the pen, though?

But we’re all still here, following along. And we will continue to. It sucks, it’s frustrating, irritating(am I forgetting anything?) but it is just 2 games.

They have guys that should have made the team over him. Barker, Small, just to name a few. I’m ok with him but he’s nothing more than a holdover.
