Maybe just maybe its true that Haines sucks and that this lineup is trash. This offense failed the team down the stretch and in the playoffs yet Stearns did nothing to improve it.

I wanted Haines gone and i willing to give the new guys some time to fix the mess.

But which one is going to be the scapegoat/easy target?

The one that tells the hitters to watch the first two pitches down the middle of the plate then swing at anything after that.

The blame for this offense goes to Stearns since it was obvious to most that we needed to improve the lineup and he flat out failed.

Well on the bright side I don't think it could get much worse than this one.

Wait until tomorrow when this offense has to face a good pitcher.
Peralta struggled in spring training too and we’re seeing that it isn’t as easy as just flipping a switch when the season starts.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

As long as it's not a lefty and we don't have to deal with the 0 run platoon lineup.

This being said, this ump is classically giving nothing near the corners. Come on, mahnnnn.

That's true. But one team is taking advantage of that fact, and the other isn't. Not that it would've made a difference today, but sometimes we expand a strike zone all by ourselves when hitting.

I agree. People rail against "change for the sake of change". But, unfair or not, nowhere in the history of this planet has that strategy worked more often than in sports. Let's get Urias back in the fold, get some games under our belt & see what happens. Today stunk, but after the first few innings I thought the quality of most of the AB's was OK on Thursday.
