Well it’s Take II on the scheduled Woodruff versus Steele matchup.

Brandon Woodruff has started more games at Wrigley than any other visiting ballpark, and to say he’s been dominant in those starts would be a massive understatement.

Woodruff’s career splits at Wrigley Field:

Split G PA AB R H 2B 3B HR BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS
CHC-Wrigley Fld 10 164 149 8 20 2 0 1 14 51 .134 .213 .168 .381

The book on Justin Steele during his brief career has been he's very tough on left-handed hitters, but much less so against righty hitters.

Justin Steele career RHB/LHB splits:

Split PA AB H 2B HR BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS
vs RHB 394 348 92 14 22 34 82 .264 .347 .494 .841
vs LHB 102 82 8 2 2 20 36 .098 .275 .195 .470
Not just “at Night” anymore.

I really hope Justin has a relative named Remington otherwise why bother with anything.

Here’s hoping that Yeli has a great game & removes the concerns I’ve had with him remaining in the three-hole despite his poor production for the last few years

I like the adjusted lineup against lefties - would love to see Huira get off to a strong start in the new year

I also love giving Taylor a start - I believe he will be their best hitter this year … assuming he gets enough ABs

I've never been one to get down on players because hey, as long as they are trying their best, that's all I can really ask for, but man, every time Yelich gets two strikes on him, I assume he's going to strikeout.

I just hope either he gets it together or he is hitting 7th and in a soft platoon

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Yelich should be batting 9th or on the bench until he shows something.

So the club is going to pay him an ungodly amount of money to sit on the bench? No. They're going to let him hit his way out of it.

Well this game will be unwatchable soon. Feels like the year usually starts like this.
