Softball team information.

I have a small update for those of you playing on the BF.net softball team. I'd also like to say that from now on softball information will be in the Issues/Contests Forum.

I won't have the schedule untill March 29th. I get that info at a meeting on the 28th of march. Schedules will be available assuming the Super Saver League has been filled with all 6 teams; we were the fourth team to get in.

 

- Our season starts on May 8th, and runs for ten weeks.

 

- Not sure of the type of ball we will use untill the meeting. (core/compression)

 

- It appears as if metal spikes are allowed.

 

- If we win the league, we are given a plaque, which will then be given to Brian.

 

- I must have your portion of the team registration fee and your individual player fee at the first practice. date is TBD and will be announced. Players will also be required to fill out a palyer card at the first practice.

 

- Roster is currently at 18 players. Team registration fee was $155.00. Each player is responsible for $9.00 team fee and their $12.00 (resident of MKE) or $24.00 (non-resident) player fee.

That makes it $21.00 I need to collect from each of you.

 

- Softball shirts will be available to each player in the BF.Net store. Jerseys must be obtained by the first game.

 

- I will have a list of the rules and regulations available for viewing at all practices and games.

 

- All players must notify me if they are unable to attend a game.

 

Roster is as follows; please view it and make sure names, and numbers are correct as this will be submitted to the printer.

Our roster is at 19 players. I will make room for only 1 more player. If you're on the border, act now because once I hit 20, that's it.

Also, if someone's plans change and they find that softball is too much of a commitment, please give me as much notice as you can so I can react to it.

I need to have the Jersey information set and submitted to the printer very soon so they are available to us on time. Once your jersey has been submitted for printing, you're obligated to it.

BTW: I ordered the blue pattern, which obviously coinsides with the Brewers, so let's chose those.

Remember you can order more than one and for those of you who didn't make the squad there are jerseys available for you as well. Any questions, post 'em here and you'll be taken care of quickly.

I did my tryouts at the UW pro day. If Orr can run a 4.25 I can hit under 6, maybe.

I was looking at the first date and saw is it a Monday so does that mean our games are on Mondays?

Where were you looking at this information? We have not had the meeting yet that even tells us our schedule. We are to play on Thursdays. I'll have more information right after the meeting. League MS-385 Sijan #2 Thursday nights.

Games begin week of May 8. Not necessarily ON May 8th, but the week of. It appears to me that our first game is on May 11th.
