Severity of Hall injury?

For what it's worth, the 4 letter network has him listed as "out indefinately" I watched SC this morning to see the injury and they didn't even make mention of it in the game recap...just in the ticker on the bottom.

If he only played in NY, we would have seen it from 13 angles and had 10 minutes of discussion of it's impact.

ugh, anyone else put together the fact that Hall was on the magnet schedule this year? Can we petition the marketing department to not put a player on that stupid thing next year????

I thought James Jerry was on the magnetic schedule? I know he's on my pre-season one, I don't remember any other one.

Don't think anybody mentioned this yet, but Billy was placed the DL today.

Here's a tidbit:

"Hopefully, it's a quick two weeks,'' manager Ned Yost said Friday, before the Brewers opened a three-game series against the Washington Nationals. "It could be anywhere from two to six weeks - we just don't know. Hopefully, he's a quick healer.''

The X-Rays were negative - which is good. And Billy Hall is a stud, of course. Let's hope it is a best case two week injury. Given the timing of the All-Star break, it could be not-so-bad.

Heal, Billy, heal!

Will Carroll talks about Hall's injury in his "Under the Knife" column on Friday.

"It reminded me a bit of Torii Hunter at first, but when Bill Hall hobbled off the field under his own power, things looked bad, but not too bad. Unfortunately, after the game and an examination, things seem much worse. Hall was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain, an injury that has a longer recovery period and tends to linger. The team will hold him out of the next couple games and hope that with the All-Star break he'll be ready. That said, a high ankle sprain will take more than a week to come back from. The mechanism of the injury is key here. Unlike Hunter, Hall was coming down from scaling the wall, not carrying the force of a long run. That makes this more like a basketball injury, but until we see how Hall responds to treatment, we won't know the length of time he'll be out. The injury normally takes between four and six weeks, but sources tell me that they think this will be on the low end, at worst. The team will likely shift Corey Hart to center field for the time being, with Tony Gwynn Jr. the likely first call if Hall needs to go on the DL."

It was the first thing I thought of...I'd kinda hoped his slow start this year was the magnet curse, but I guess we weren't so lucky

Please don't put Prince or Bruan or Yo on there next year http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
