I've never done the "diamond/fill" thing before, but I'm aware most people do so I'm willing to go along in order to mainstream things.

 

Also, I usually use S/D/T/HR to symbolize safety hits. But 1B/2B/3B/HR works for me as well.

 

I use "7" for fly out to LF and "7F" for foul out to LF.

"6-3" ground out shortstop to first.

"4L" line out to second base.

"3U" firstbase unassisted.

 

razzor - I could score a couple of innings of a Brewer game and give it to you Sunday for your studies.

Yeah, that link was a bit untraditional (IMO) as far as scoring, but it was a starting point.

Perhaps a few folks could point out links they find descent to teach scoring? Maybe we could even have a couple guys score tonight's game so folks that want to learn can see some variations.

I don't think he'll be at practice on Sunday. But he will be at Long Wong's on Saturday night! You can do the exchange there!

I won't be at practice on Sunday. I'll just bring the book to the first game. That's not to say don't show up Sat night at Long Wong's though...

I just kept score off the internet. Good game to use as an example, lots of plays. We can compare notes.
