Softball Practice #4/Business Minutes

We had a good practice today and afterwards had an informal chat to gather some thoughts together prior to our 7:30 chat.

 

Forum

A motion by Jimbo and seconded by Brian for the softball team to have its own forum. (Done!)

 

 

Scorekeeping

#14 Robin19, #34 nullbyte and I believe #31 Bball123h volunteered to cover when neccessary.

 

To keep scorekeeping consistent, Robin19 and I agreed on the method to use.

 

Positions

1 = Pitcher, 2 = Catcher, 3 = First Baseman, 4 = Second Baseman, 5 = Third Baseman, 6 = Shortstop, 7 = Left Fielder, 8 = (Left-) Center Fielder, 9 = Right-Center Fielder, 10 = Right Fielder/Rover

 

Safety Hits

1B = Single, 2B = Double, 3B = Triple, HR = Home Run

 

Outs

Any out made via flyball or liner, circle the position number.

U = unassisted play

 

Scoring

Fill in the "diamond" when a player scores.

Note RBIs with a picket-fence type tally in the bottom-right corner.

I was late for the chat room meeting. Oops. I got preoccupied with house stuff and watching Family Guy. I finally made it though. I think I may have to give myself a fine and a stern talking to. I can't let this escalate to affect the clubhouse.

Jimbo, you have a typo in the caption for my pic. You need to remove the space between in and action.

I noticed a lack of volunteers to pitch. I can do that if needed a well as play Outfield or catcher if needed. I have a decent arm for the infield, but not from the corner OF spots (at least not if you want any Jenkins type plays).
