There's an article in here on how a few guys spent their off season. Love to see hiura working on his leg kick. I was a bit disappointed to see yelich say he simply had a normal off season. Please tell me you tried to do something different after being very mediocre last year. At the very least tell us you're in the best shape of your life. I'm starting to get the vibe that work ethic might be a problem.

given the context of the linked article, shouldn't this thread be re-titled?

i wanna know why freddy peralta spent the entire offseason in milwaukee. i'm guessing u.s. citizenship?

The mods are welcome to retitle it, I'm not sure how to or if I can. That's another fair point. I was also surprised to see burnes involved in MLBPA stuff considering his age and service time.

That's better than him saying he didn't do a thing in the off season like a couple years ago.

I'm actually encouraged by Yelich saying his off-season was "normal" as opposed to "my back locked up again" or "I needed my knee cleaned up because it was bugging me."

Normal in ballplayer speak usually just means uneventful. His work ethic is top notch by all accounts and the fact that he never lost confidence speaks well for his mentality also being in a good spot.

Now we just have to hope that he stays healthy all year so he isn't constantly dealing with crap like he did in '20-'21. (And no, I'm not excusing all of his struggles by way of injury, but they played a part.)
