Juan Geraldo underwent Tommy John surgery last September and is out for the entire 2022 season.

Arman Sabouri underwent Tommy John surgery last September but is throwing already and, somewhat surprisingly, hopes for a late season return!

Josh Shapiro is still rehabbing from Tommy John surgery and is throwing but is still “a ways” from a return. Looking like a mid-season rehab assignment before moving up to a full-season club, likely Wisconsin.

Jackson Gillis underwent Tommy John surgery last July and is expected to be out most of, if not all, the 2022 season.

I don't think I've seen Shane Smith yet either, but I assume he is still rehabbing from the Tommy John surgery that cost him most of his last college season.

With the exception of a few guys, most notably Campbell, who haven't been listed the last couple of days (and obvious ACL/DSL guys starting like Avina, Silva and Lara), it seems like the starting lineups this week are starting to reflect the teams the players will likely be on. It will be interesting to see how many of the guys who started last season in the Dominican make the Carolina roster. I doubt they place Chourio there right away, but Mendez, Jimenez and Segura all seem to have a shot.

When guys on the 40 who don't make the 28 get sent to the minors, it has a ripple effect downstream.

Yep, but with that mostly done, at least outside of the bullpen, it appears the lineups have stabilized (no one has started games at two different levels this week) with the complex league guys filling in on the bench for players called up to the big league game that day. Really, outside of Carolina which seems the most likely to be tweaked, there aren’t many surprises. McGee and Peters would be a level higher than I would expect, but that is about it.

Maybe Campbell and Lopez are injured, thus opening up some spots (e.g. catchers move up, Peters as well). It certainly looks like Zamora, McGee and Valerio will commence in AA, thus giving us a High-A outfield of Gray, Frelick and Rodriguez.

 I agree on Mendez and Segura likely starting in Low-A, though perhaps not Jimenez. We’ll know soon ?

Chourio was mentioned among one of the most impressive backfield players in spring training today.  I'm wondering if he will make the jump, would be pretty impressive if he did.
