OK. We got our WR and lost a pick.

Or we used our extra pick to make sure we got our guy. I hope the bad hands rap is overblown a bit though.

Ugh. Watson is fine, but I don't like the trade one bit.  Vikes will prolly take Pierce or Pickens who might be better than Watson anyway AND get another starting caliber guy.

Any and all informed opinions on Watson go the way of Ross Uglem. That man has a man crush of mountainous proportions on Christian and has known him since he was 16. He covers the Bison at NDSU. He swears by this young man.

A speed demon with bad hands. So we got MVS?

Nfl networks player comp was mvs, but also a better route runner.

Here's hoping he's the Packers' latest second round star at receiver. Not thrilled with giving up both seconds, though. It is probably time to try to find a cheap ring chaser at edge rusher because I can't see anyone left by the time they get to round three who would be able to work into the rotation.

Also an All-American Kick Off returner and just insanely dangerous with motion sweeps etc in open space. I think this is a premier athlete just touching the surface of what he could be. We are talking Megatron athleticism here. MVS was nowhere near Megatron athleticism - he was fast.

Must have been worried of another WR run.

Watson was considered by most of these draft nerds as the next guy predicted to go. Rodgers said last night that they had 1st round grades on 6 WRs, but considering what they gave up for Watson, I'm guessing it was 7.

Another old guy. Packers breaking the mold this draft!

Yeah, he turns 23 in two weeks. I thought the Packers never drafted older prospects high though?

One thing he does fit is the mold that Gute and Lafleur like for perimeter wideouts. Roughly the same size as Drake London, but can actually RUN!

Or it was six, and they didn't have one on Dotson or Burks. (I know Rodgers said they were all picked, but who knows if that was just him quickly covering)

I’m fine with Watson - preferred Tolbert or Pickens but many had Watson ranked ahead of those two and possibly sneaking into the first round.

Using both 2nd round picks hurts but the Packers do have a 3rd and two 4ths to move around with also if they choose.

I’m thinking TE yet tonight if a quality WR doesn’t fall.

Didnt DA have drop concerns as well when we drafted him?

Not really. He was seen as sure-handed. BUT, I tell you I always loved the NFL.com profile:

Emphasis should be given to: 'A poor man's Michael Crabtree'

It tells you all you need to know that nobody knows anything until years down the road. LOL.

Davante Adams
A long-limbed, sure-handed possession receiver with starter-caliber, positional traits. Lacks top-end speed and strength. As a 21-year-old, third-year sophomore entering the draft early, is still growing into his body and developing core strength. A poor man's Michael Crabtree, Adams possesses very intriguing upside to be groomed.

LOL poor man's Michael Crabtree. Michael Crabtree himself ended up being a poor man's Michael Crabtree.
