Cinci outplayed the Rams in a lot of phases, and got utterly hosed on that hold, but their offensive line is so, so, so bad that they just couldn't mount any sustained offense at all. Sucks. They know where they need to get better.

It certainly wasnt any worse that the one Ramsey got away with early in the game.

I actually disagree Cincy outplayed the Rams - they did the same thing by that won them three playoff games against AFC opponents who shot themselves in the foot in key situations. The Rams were headed towards a comfortable win until OBJ went down, then it was suddenly obvious they didn't have enough healthy weapons left to go up and down the field, so scoring was going to be tough sledding. If Cincy doesn't get that great catch by Chase and that long TD pass to open the 2nd half on what was offensive PI, they don't score 10 points in this game. Credit goes to the Rams' D for basically shutting the Bengals down right after that 2nd Stafford INT early in the 3rd quarter and giving their offense most of the 2nd half to score 10 points and win a title.

Cincy's offense does have alot of exciting young weapons, but their line is atrocious and it prevents them from scoring alot of points against solid defenses - it's actually been Cincy's defense that has made huge plays at key times during this playoff run to win them games, and tonight they just couldn't come up with one on that last Rams drive that was basically Stafford and Kupp.

An entertaining game that just felt disappointing at the end because the Packers are better than both of those squads - such is life when all too often the best teams don't win titles.

I don't understand being so happy that you go on a destructive rampage. 1 person was also reportedly shot last night, condition unknown.

The shooting wasn't anywhere near where the other stuff was happening.

Donald would have been a worthy pick but I think Kupp was the correct call. Nearly 100-yd game, 2 TDs, basically did the winning drive himself and converted a huge 4th down on the ground.

A bit much has been made of Stafford not playing well. He wasn't MVP, but one INT bounced off a WR and the other was an arm punt on 3rd and 14.

Didn't know that. It was mentioned in an article I read talking about the "celebrations" after the game so I figured it had to be at least loosely related to them.

When you have two worthy MVP candidates, one on offense and one on defense, ask yourself which side of the ball won the game. It was clearly Donald and the defense. They absolutely dominated that side of the ball, and in the biggest moments as well.

I mean, at halftime, they were talking about Donald had 1 pressure on 20 passing snaps. It was only after the little sideline shove that he got going.

Plus...quite literally, the Rams offense won the game on the final possession. And Kupp running an end around on 4th down - one where he had to make a guy miss behind the line of scrimmage - kept that drive going.

If Donald had won it, that'd be fine. In this thread I even suggested he could win it in the 3rd quarter. But Kupp was perfectly deserving. Not this egregious slam drunk you are suggesting.

pretty cool angle of Stafford's no look pass to Cupp on the 4th
