Losing Dillon on special teams play, of all things, hurt big time.

Yep, and the reason he's out there at all is because other personnel weren't getting the job done earlier in the year. Not having the hammer in the second half didn't allow the offense to stay run heavy when the field started getting slick, because you can't just feed Jones constantly.

Too bad a bunch of those guys on defense are likely gone next year. Lowry, Campbell, the Smiths, Douglas and maybe even Amos won't be back. Salary cap purgatory coming up.

This was indeed the last dance and its over. There's a significant rebuild coming up. Maybe it wouldn't be this way if they had gone all the way but after yet another choke job even before the NFCCG, I don't think any side has the stomach to even think of trying to run it back again.

Rodgers has played his last game as a Packer. Davante Adams. Many others. We witnessed the end of an era in the most embarrassing way possible.

In the end, the defense failed too. Should have never come to that, I know. But withe the weather at it's worst SF marched down into FG range. Loss isn't on them, but that still did happen.

They gave up 6 mother humping points. What do you want ?

There were individual plays that were bad, the Kittle catch and Jaire not tackling Deebo on 3rd down, but you honestly could have not asked for a better defensive performance.

I want them to stop SF from getting into FG range when it counted most. Loss isn't on them, I'll say it again. But in that weather, make a stop.

It's time regardless. Obviously a championship would have been ideal but how in the world does Rodgers lace up again for this organization? Both sides have to feel like the mojo is just not there at this point. Probably best for both to turn the page. A sad end for sure. He did not have a great game, but neither did Jimmy and he is moving on.

Personally...I am more than ready to find the simple pleasures in a rebuild of sorts and lower stakes 4-7 win seasons. I can't take any more of these. It just all feels sour at this point.

I hope Rodgers can finish the job for someone else.

Plus another "good luck beating Green Bay in the cold weather" loss. I don't know why people keep saying that, but it hasn't been true for a decade now.

Nobody more than a casual fan believes anything about Lambeau mystique. Their pretty record was padded by not making the playoffs for 25 years and the fact that when they used to make it, they were Lombardi's Kings.

Once they were decent but nothing special they lost a whole bunch of games. It's meaningless. Honestly they've probably been a better indoor team for some time now.

Sure but let's not pretend SF came out and whooped their butts or played some type of inspiring game. I think 100% of posters on this board expected the Packers offense to actually show up tonight but they were M.I.A. after the first possession. They allowed an NFL playoff team to stay close until a backbreaking play turned the tide.

For how different personality-wise Favre and Rodgers are, it is almost eerie how similar their Packers careers are ending. Get ready for an offseason of drama, culminating in Rodgers being dealt for what will probably be an underwhelming, disappointing return for many Packer fans.

If we get two 1sts I'll be extremely impressed. I think that's the ceiling and the floor is an early 2nd and a decent player or two.

Whatever it is, I've assumed Rodgers made his decision a long time ago and that this one game doesn't factor into it.

That may be the case, but now it may be that Gute and company don't really care what Rodgers wants to do even if he does want to end his career here and just move on no matter what. I dunno, tough pill to swallow right now.

I think one big difference between last season and this season is most were hoping they'd work things out. I think even if you don't blame Rodgers for tonight, which is fair or whatever...it seems like most just want the marriage to end now. A breakup now would seem much more amicable.

Rodgers didn't cost them the game tonight...but IMO he didn't do nearly enough to win it, either. There have been several gut wrenching playoff losses where you could say the exact same thing now.

He led an offense that put up 3 points in basically 57 minutes. That ended up being extremely costly.

I think the only people who feel that way are not employed by the Green Bay Packers.

I hope your kidding. You must not know how desperate nfl teams are for QBs. If gutey can’t get two ones a two and a starting player he should be fired.

Rodgers was ready to move on after last season when we were one play away from the Super Bowl and had to be begged to return.

Fast forward one year to this horrific debacle and he'll want to spend the rest of his career here?

Absolutely not. He is done as a Packer.
