Nice pick for the flashback Lions game. To answer you question from The other thread yes looks like we will be getting Myers and Bakh back which I think is pretty important for them to figure out where the oline will be for the playoffs. It seems like we miss the free plays now when guys jump, I am not sure if that is Patrick or if it goes back to losing lindsey but I don’t remember a free play all season.

 

Rodgers seems set to play which surprises me but we will see when the inactive come out.

I like the fact MLF will not rest their key players. I don't like the idea of players going three weeks without playing a down, especially when they did that in 2011 and we all know how that worked out for them. The picture in the OP really haunts me. A one week bye is perfect. Two weeks is way too long of a layoff. At least play Rodgers and the rest of the key players a half.

It's tough call to me, it's not like preseason since you don't have an active roster full of 2nd and 3rd stringers so if you play all the starters it means some have to play the whole game. I think that is why you often see teams sit their best 5 or 6 players in this situation so they have more backups available.

I like the idea of Rodgers just having to go through warm ups and a routine and then maybe play a quarter. But then he should be done. The other skill groups shouldn't see a down IMO. There is zero reason to run Davante Adams around and risk any kind of stupid injury.

Doesn't seem like Arkush will get his segment today, I guess not surprising when he is a Bears fan who called our star player the leagues biggest jerk and a bad person, hard to claim to be impartial after that. Surprised it hasn't been addressed though, maybe Wayne stepped in for his buddy and said it is off limits.

Considering GBs 1st drives this season lacking, I'm all for Rodgers getting a Crack at a TD drive. With Jones inactive I look forward to Dillon leading off a game. They sometimes hold out Dillon until that 3rd drive.

I would have assumed Bakt would have played after pulling a few Oline starters. Not sure on starting if it happens. Same on Alexander and now Myers.

I think Rodgers plays just long enough for Myers and Bakh to get used to cadence, snap counts, and line calls as a unit with the rest of the line, and then Rodgers can take the rest of the game off

Not to argue about something so meaningless, but to me the fact he gets a mulligan game and still breaks it...means that he didn't actually break it. Unless he'd done it last week.

And Adams has missed two games this season, btw...so he is 20 yds shy of a team record in 15 games. A record Jordy has from 2014 after playing all 16 games.

Missing a game is significant, to me anyway. It would be like breaking a HR record in more games but saying that it counts the same because the ABs were the same. To me, it's not the same at all.

 

Adams is a better player than Nelson. But to me he's not breaking his record today.

MLF says they did their homework and teams in this situation who play their key players do better in the postseason. Hard to argue with that.

I think it’s legit if he breaks it. He missed the Arizona game because he was on the COVID list. It wasn’t injury related.
