I don’t know if Zimmer survives this season, but I don’t think their offensive staff should based on their nonsense game plan tonight.

I think Cousins being out at the end of the week and having next to no practice time really is most of this...its obvious their QB has no idea where guys outside his 1st read are.

Then why aren’t they just plugging their all-pro RB? Cook has 7 carries.

He's gonna fall somewhat short of that predicted number of carries.

Lol, if they go 3 incompletions, which would be dumb of them, there enough time left for another score lol. Edited by young guns

They can't get a 1st down so they can't feed him constantly - he's getting like 2 yards a carry.

Cook also has a bum shoulder and is coming off a week he was out due to COVID.

So the game plan should be rollover and die, with your playoff life on the line? I guess the Vikings’ staff agrees….

I don't think they have much choice with the guy behind center - he would make any gameplan look like "roll over and die"

If we, or more than likely win, this game, I bet we get a Saturday game against Detroit.

Not a chance. The whole point of the Saturday games is to put more games with playoff implications on national television. There's no way they put on a completely meaningless Packers/Lions game.

Possibly true…

But their effort thus far displays all the creativity of a wet stick.

They want to play those games on Sunday at the same time to keep teams from resting starters.

Living in MN, I've seen too much of the Vikings to basically expect as much on offense - and that actually goes up to Zimmer...I think Cousins is actually quite underrated in how much he improves their offense. He's not great, but he is really good.

No, they specifically announced both games on Saturday will have playoff implications.
