Newman by far my least favorite Packer and it's not even close.

 

He is certainly the weakest link in the OLine by s mile.

 

If not for injuries he would've been a backup all season...instead he's the only opening day starter still starting

 

That's why I'm not going to rag on him too hard. He may develop into a decent guard but it's going to take a year or two.

Does this offense have running back option routes in it? Seems like that would work really well on the 3rd and shorts against the way zimmer likes stacking all his backers inside the tackle box.

I’m willing to cut him some slack. He’s a rookie 4th round pick. I don’t think anyone was counting on him to start - yet here he is for the 16th week in a row.

Its also obvious their QB wants nothing to do with throwing downfield if it means reading coverages. GB defense is stacking against the run, too.

 

At some point they just need to call a couple play action go routes - hoping packers can get comfortably ahead to prevent one big play completely turning the tables tonight.

I think there's also something to Dalvin Cook not being a great cold weather, on grass field back. Some of his worst games have come at Chicago.

 

Cook was great in Lambeau last season, but that was in October, not january.
